The Access-Board requires detectable warning devices at pedestrian/vehicular transition points. In addition, the rule requires that the detectable warning area be a contrasting color to the surrounding pavement. The recently released Rights-of-Way Guideline proposal indicate that detectable warnings will continue to be required although the proposed guidelines call for a smaller coverage area (24 inches instead of full ramp) and permit wider dome spacing. The new Guidelines are currently published for public comment at access-board.gov. (4.5 pavers/sf)
ADA Truncated Dome Test Report

If you want an individual paver for your personal use or you are interested in a great fund raising project, just call and we can help!
